Photobucket, how to use it?

Photobucket is our new image and video hosting site.  We will be using it now that our Snapfish account has become full.  Some of our members may be unfamiliar with how to use it so I thought I would tell everyone here.
- In your browser, go to photobucket.com and login with our club user ID and password.  I won't list it here, since my blog is public but if you don't know it, you can email me here and I'll let you know what it is.
- Once you are logged in, you will see our default album which has our club group photos and club logo.  To your right, you should see sub-albums, with names according to what is in them.  Ex.  Christmas Party 2012.  If you click on the name of the album, you can view all of the pictures in that album or download them all.  **Please never delete any pictures**
- To upload pictures so that I can put them on our website, make sure you are viewing our main album, UnitedRider's Album.  If not then you can go back to it by clicking on that album then on your right on the sub-albums heading, click create new album beside sub-albums.  Give your album a name and choose create album at the bottom.  Nothing else needs to be changed on that box.  The next screen will allow you to upload your photos from your computer to your newly created album.
I hope this is helpful for anyone who has not used photobucket.com yet.

What is a blog, is it like Facebook?

I am starting my first blog conversation with the topic, "What is a blog, is it like Facebook?"  Well, the answer is no.  On Facebook we talk about how our day at work was and where we are going tomorrow or who made us mad today.  People respond back.....  It is basically a chit, chat conversation back and forth with any of our friends who happen to be online or be checking their smartphones at the time.  Don't get me wrong, I love that daily banter as much as the next person but that is not what a blog is.  A blog has more substance to it.  It is about a topic that is clearly defined and then a definition is given or a perhaps a discussion about that topic such as how to do something or how to get to a particular place.  Regardless, a blog has a clearly defined topic in which the writer has written about.  Then readers can post comments about it, if they choose to, and a discussion can ensue about the topic.  Either way, it is a way for the writer to share their thoughts or information with the readers.
